As the Medical Assistant on our team, you will focus on Occupational Medicine and perform a variety of clinical and administrative duties including but not limited to collecting medical histories, assesses work injuries and performs x-rays ordered by MOH providers to assist in patient diagnosis and monitoring.

This is a casual position based at our St. Paul Midway MOH campus. Monday - Friday schedule of 7:30am - 4:00pm (subject to change). This role may also require flexibility to pick up shifts at any/all of our MOH Campuses as needed.

Primary duties:




  • Prepares patients for radiologic procedures. Positions patients and takes X-rays of specific parts of the patient's body as requested by MOH providers.



  • Checks X-rays for clarity of image, retaking when needed.



  • Maintains required records including patient records, daily log books, and monthly reports.



  • Measure patient statistics and vitals, including height, weight, blood pressure, eye evaluations or performing a urine analysis dip. Prepare patient for a physical evaluation.



  • Assist provider, as needed, with various procedures.



  • Perform urine drug screens by collecting and analyzing specimens.



  • Fulfill clerical duties as assigned, including sending and receiving patient medical records, obtaining lab and x-ray reports and completing and sending employer paperwork.



  • Schedule follow-up appointments and verifying insurance coverage / patient demographics.



  • Performs other duties as assigned.




Summit's hiring range for this position is $22.25 to $27.82 per hour. The hired candidate may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, differentials and/or deferred compensation. If you are hired at Summit, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, experience, and internal equity.

Qualifications
Experience
One year work experience in a clinic setting (required)
X-ray operator license (preferred)
Medical assistant or nursing assistant certification preferred (preferred)
Licenses & Certifications
Basic Life Support (required)
