Summary:
Applies and monitors a capacity and long range sales planning and scheduling system in accordance with customer or Program Management requests, contractual terms, and approved Inventory Management techniques. Develops manufacturing plans and schedules, for products, to be produced by Operations Manufacturing. Reflects progress against schedules, and makes recommendations for resource allocation through written and graphic reports. In large sites, supervises Scheduler activities to ensure achievement of customer and business commitments. Prefer a prior background from an EMS/CM within electronics manufacturing (PCB/PCBA strongly preferred.)

Responsibilities:
* Works directly with customers to gain an understanding of a customer's planning system and how Benchmark and the customer's processes interact.
* Monitors and reports on revenue and inventory plan. Identifies issues and recommends solutions and/or take action as appropriate for assigned business units.
* Monitors and reports on inventory levels and planned order quantities at both the component and assembly level and generate action plans to ensure that inventory levels are optimized and excess inventory is dispositioned, to support business objectives.
* Develops planning analysis and assessment tools as required.
* Interfaces with customers, suppliers and internal resources to optimize inventory/revenue plan.
* Assists the Supply Chain Planners/Analysts and Program Management in developing monthly sales forecasts.
* Recommends improvements and implements recommendations for improvements to the extended supply chain planning process in order to gain efficiencies in both Benchmark's processes and the customer's processes.
* Ensures that processes are effectively established, followed, monitored and optimized.
* Provides access to a broad range of resources and business contacts for the planners to be successful in their projects.
* Coordinates analysis, gather supply chain best practices and develop strategies in support of supply chain business case development.
* Ensure internal and external customers receive the highest level of service.
* Maintains operational integrity of assigned area of responsibility.
* Where applicable, recruits, interviews and hires team members. Continuously assesses individual and team strengths and development needs. Coaches and mentor subordinates. Creates and manages succession plans.
* Establishes clear measurable goals and objectives by which to assess individual and team results (i.e. metrics, results against project timelines, training documentation, knowledge of roles and responsibilities, personal development goals). Drives individuals and teams to continuously improve in key metrics and the achievement of organizational goals. Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.
* Drives a lean culture. Identifies creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value-added processes, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems).
* Performs all essential functions for site > 500 employees. * Manages individual contributor employees.

* 4-year degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management.
* 7+ years of experience in planning, procurement and scheduling in more complex accounts.
* APICS CPIM certification preferred.
* Ability to provide leadership and mentorship to others in the procurement and planning activity.
* Proficient in associated Microsoft Word Office products, Infor ERP, Kinaxis Rapid Response as they apply to the position.
* Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools (Baan or equivalent) as they apply to the position.
* Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment when representing the company in supply chain related decisions.
* Ability to effectively mentor co-workers.
* Ability to independently drive solutions to complex supply chain issues with limited supervision.
* Demonstrate teamwork and the ability to operate on diverse project teams with minimal direction.
* Demonstrate confidentiality and the ability to represent the company in a professional manner.
* Participate in a continuous improvement activity
* Ability to understand and apply continuous improvement (CI) tools and participate in Lean and CI activities
* Be able to comprehend contractual /MSA language as it pertains to the position
