About the team

Worldpay, LLC seeks Database Administrator Senior in Cincinnati, OH to be responsible for database design, development and administration of very large scale OLTP and analytical data structures including logical and physical design.

What you will be doing

The Database Administrator Senior will provide application SQL performance tuning and load testing support. Additionally, the role will:

  • Optimize Db2 resource utilization by tuning queries, recommending indexes, design architecture and configuring database parameters.
  • Lead, mentor and/or provide guidance to less experienced database DBAs where applicable including guidance for troubleshooting escalated issues.
  • Provide team on call rotational 24/7 Incident Response.
  • Provide project support in alignment with business goals.
  • Support compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide database metrics to promote cost reduction and capacity planning.
  • Maintain data integrity within the production environment including the execution of proper backup and restoration policies and procedures which provide point-in-time restore capabilities (disaster recovery).
  • Deploy database changes in strict accordance with Service Management policies and procedures.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation:

  • working with Db2z database administration, IDAA, IDAA Bulk Loader, and CDC Replication;
  • implementing performance tuning of SQL;
  • performing REXX scripting and Stored Procedures;
  • working with Db2 Connect and Db2 Client installations and configuration;
  • utilizing IBM Db2 Admin tool suite, Query Monitor, and Omegamon (Db2 PE);
  • working with i LOAD, UNLOAD, High Speed Unload, RUNSTAT, REORG, COPY, COPYTOCOPY, MERGECOPY, MODIFY and SPUFI Db2 utilities.

Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policy. When not telecommuting, must report to work site.
