DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will lead a team of professional and clerical staff within our Protective Services Unit, applying leadership strategies that reflect and promote Area Agency on Aging leadership values. Duties will include supporting staff as they investigate reports of elder abuse and neglect, ensuring that all investigations are thorough and comply with regulatory and mandated guidelines. You will provide oversight, quality assurance, and clinical direction related to initiating investigations, developing care plans, determining substantiation, and implementing subsequent interventions. Additionally, you will facilitate communication between intake sources and the Protective Services program while overseeing the management of the Pennsylvania Report of Need to ensure proper case assignment, documentation, and compliance.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to two days per week after six months of employment. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Pittsburgh. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of experience in public or private social work and a Bachelor's Degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training including successful completion of 12 semester hours of college level courses in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, or other related social sciences.
