DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be part of a clerical staff responsible for processing claims for winning tickets received by the PA Lottery and providing assistance regarding the claims process. You will serve as the unit's lead worker, which involves planning and assigning work assignments in order to meet deadlines and priorities, providing training to new employees in the section, and proofreading completed assignments to ensure accuracy. Your responsibilities will involve reviewing information to verify that lottery claims are valid and to be paid, composing letters and forms related to claims, and determining when to escalate issues to a supervisor. This includes receiving and responding to a wide variety of phone calls and emails regarding PA Lottery claims and games, referencing prescribed guidelines and manuals to resolve various issues, and providing information and solutions to assist customers. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Call center experience
- Customer service experience
