Job Description
The National Account Manager - Trainee will represent the company directly to National Foodservice Customers, Single and Multi-Unit Customers within an assigned geographic area. This individual will prospect, pursue and develop sales relationships with those accounts.


Job Duties:


  • Exceeds Westrock & client's planned volumes and quality standards through effective account management.
  • Ensures all program entitlements are executed in a comprehensive and timely manner.
  • Establishes good working relationships with all parties involved in Clients/Westrock beverage partnership.
  • Make Clients Aware of new trends, Category Management, Product Knowledge, Westrock's sales team best practices.
  • Sells Sysco private label brand (Citavo) and Westrock programs/products to national, local contract and independent (street) customers, working with the Sysco Opsite's key sales stakeholders, with a primary focus on selling Sysco private label brand.
  • The National Account Manager will prospect, pursue, and develop sales relationships with those accounts identified on the "Target Account List".
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders at Opsites, primarily but not limited to, Sales Consultant, District Manager, Account Executive, Product Support Advisor, Director of Sales Strategies and Operations, Director of local sales, Market Vice President of Merchandising, Market Vice President of Field Sales
  • Works with each Opsites, broker network, and dedicated broker agents to develop new accounts.
  • Attends all clients regional shows.
  • Schedule and Attends GSM's (General Sales Meetings)
  • Schedule and Participates in District Meetings/Huddles
  • In-depth category and product knowledge
  • Opsite(s) quarterly/yearly performance review with Client -- displaying our commitment to continue growing beverage program, protecting our position with customer, shows we're the leaders with new and innovative products and promotions.
  • Maintains and builds business and profits at existing assigned accounts through new product placement, improved operational recommendations and/or marketing support creating more unit sales of Company products.
  • Responsible for meeting annual sales goals.
  • Maintains and cultivates a direct line of communication with leadership about progress with target accounts, sales activity, potential opportunities and competitive information.
  • Works closely with all division personnel on Trade Show planning and representation. Develops ongoing relationships with trade and industry groups and associations.
  • Promotes a professional image of Westrock Coffee, Inc. in all involvement with internal personnel, customers, suppliers, and competition.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:


  • Knowledge of Company products as well as extensive knowledge of coffee, tea and other company products.
  • Proven sales track record.

  • Must be proactive and willing to increase knowledge in all areas of product, equipment and marketing.

  • Ability to interact with individuals from diverse levels within a corporation and to provide consultative expertise and leadership.
  • Ability to travel.
