Role Overview

Harmonia Holdings Group is seeking a highly skilled SME Network & Computer Systems Administrator to support DHS ICE Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Title III and Linguists Unit (T3LU) under the CALEA program. This role provides technical leadership, advanced systems/network administration, and mission-critical operational support.

This position supports DHS's mission while contributing to Harmonia's overarching goals: delivering premier technology services, driving mission-focused innovation, sustaining organizational excellence, and being an employer of choice for skilled professionals.

Responsibilities



  • Install, configure, administer, and maintain the CALEA LAN/WAN infrastructure, servers, SANs, and network devices.
  • Provide technical leadership and supervision of other contractor staff.
  • Conduct system capacity analysis, planning, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal performance.
  • Install/update antivirus software and apply security patches to maintain DHS compliance.
  • Perform hardware replacement (hard drives, memory modules, power supplies, etc.).
  • Maintain network diagrams, SOPs, and technical documentation in the CALEA repository.
  • Support certification and accreditation (C&A) activities by applying approved security patches.
  • Ensure 24/7 system availability, COOP, and rapid restoration during outages.
  • Liaise with ICE Program Managers and technical leads, providing direct mission support.


Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or related field OR +5 years equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years enterprise IT systems/network administration experience.
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE + Security), or PMP - preferred (CCNA/CCNP not accepted).
  • Expertise in:


    • Windows OS and Active Directory (AD)
    • Linux system administration
    • VMware virtualization (capacity analysis, installations, patching, troubleshooting)
    • Storage Area Networks (SAN/RAID)


  • Excellent communication skills; ability to explain technical issues to non-technical leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in high-pressure, mission-critical environments.

  • Adaptability to changing mission requirements.
  • Ability to mentor and lead other administrators.

Physical Demands / Work Environment



  • Must regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs.; occasionally up to 80 lbs. with hand truck/lift cart.
  • Requires standing, kneeling, crouching, and crawling in server-room environments.
  • Normal hearing/vision required; moderate server-room noise.
