Our Commercial organization leads our global sales and marketing strategies around the world. Our integrated team continues to solidify BioMarin's commercial presence in the United States and Europe and is rapidly growing in other regions, such as Latin America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. BioMarin is a leader in therapeutics for rare genetic diseases, focusing on advancing therapies that are the first or best of their kind.
Role Overview:
The Associate Director (AD) leads a team of field-based clinical coordinators who provide product education, injection training, and address patient/caregiver access-related barriers to therapy. Responsibilities include performance management, coaching, identifying developmental needs, problem-solving, ensuring SOPs and patient-facing initiatives are implemented, participating in touchpoint calls as needed, and facilitating collaboration between cross-functional partners. This position requires leadership, strategic agility, project management, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders. The AD reports to the Director, Clinical Coordinator Program - Skeletal Conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Clinical Coordinator team supporting Skeletal Conditions franchise.
- Field travel with Clinical Coordinators to provide coaching and support.
- Successfully recruit, hire, onboard and mentor new employees.
- Influence and gain cooperation from other cross functional partners.
- Lead field-based projects and collaborate on strategic objectives.
- Provide temporary coverage for Clinical Coordinator Territory during vacancies.
Experience and Education:
- 2 + years of management experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Achondroplasia patient journey preferred.
- Allied health care professional credentials (RN, NP, PA, RD).
- Varied background in leadership and pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Experience in motivational interviewing/behavior change techniques.
- Knowledge of Salesforce, Power BI, and Microsoft Office both on both PC and mobile platforms.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to travel up to 50%. Willingness to travel to see patients in their homes
- Successful background check.
- Valid driver's license and driving record

The salary range for this position is: $145,100 to $199,540. BioMarin considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
