Job Title: Patient Service Coordinator - Data Entry Remote Department: Utilization Management We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Patient Service Coordinator to join the Utilization Management (UM) team. This role primarily involves entering authorization requests from providers into our medical management system and handling incoming calls to the UM department. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player who supports care coordination and contributes to improved health outcomes for our members. * Accurately enter authorization requests into the medical management system. * Answer and direct incoming phone calls to the UM department. * Collaborate with healthcare professionals and community service agencies to coordinate member care. * Gather and relay health-related information and barriers to the care team. * Implement approved interventions to promote health and compliance with care plans. * Support clinical staff with tasks such as: * Screening for changes in health status. * Coaching for self-management. * Sending reminders for necessary testing. * Assist with clinical authorization processes and referrals. * Coordinate communication between members, providers, and insurance companies. * Perform general administrative duties including: * Drafting correspondence. * Scheduling appointments. * Organizing and maintaining records and files. * Providing member assistance as needed. Qualifications: * Prior experience in a healthcare or medical office setting preferred. * Strong data entry and organizational skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. * Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. * Familiarity with medical terminology and authorization processes is a plus. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
