Job Description We are seeking a skilled and confident Coding Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our surgical coding team. This role is critical in ensuring accuracy, productivity, and timely completion of coding tasks, while serving as a key liaison between coders and physicians. Responsibilities * Supervise and support a team of surgical coders, ensuring adherence to coding standards and guidelines. * Monitor coder productivity, quality metrics, and lag times to maintain optimal performance. * Act as the primary point of escalation for coding-related issues between coders and physicians. * Review and accurately code complex operative procedures for surgical practices. * Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and inquisitive work environment. Required Skills * Certified Professional Coder (CPC) * Strong experience in surgical coding * Proven supervisory and leadership abilities * Effective escalation management and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications * Additional coding certifications (e.g., CCS, CPC-H) are a plus * Excellent communication and collaboration skills * Confidence in decision-making and team engagement * Proactive in asking questions and seeking clarity Experience Level Intermediate - 2+ years of relevant experience in surgical coding and team supervision #Westpriority25 Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $34.50 - $35.50/hr.
