Sr. Underwriter (Full-Time) Location: Sioux Falls, SD We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sr. Underwriter to join our the team. This role is responsible for reviewing, approving, and funding files that fall outside traditional loan models. The ideal candidate will bring strong underwriting expertise, risk assessment skills, and a collaborative mindset to support a fast-paced, task-driven environment. Key Responsibilities * Risk Assessment: Review financial documents and business profiles to evaluate lending risk. * File Preparation: Gather and organize all necessary documentation to support funding decisions. * Funding Decisions: Make final determinations on business qualifications and funding terms. * Compliance Oversight: Ensure all deals meet internal policies and regulatory standards. * Documentation Review: Verify accuracy of incoming documents using company and lender guidelines. * Contract Management: Generate contract requests and collect required information prior to funding. * Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team and other internal/external stakeholders to resolve issues. * Communication: Maintain consistent email and task-based communication with external representatives. * Verification: Use online tools and resources to confirm the accuracy of submitted information. * Credit Interpretation: Understand and clear credit stipulations by gathering appropriate supporting documentation. * Loan Structuring: Demonstrate knowledge of working capital business loans and advances. * Client Interaction: Verbally confirm contract terms and conditions with borrowers on manually funded transactions. * Timely Execution: Ensure all working capital files are funded promptly.
