The University of Virginia is a highly competitive Division I program committed to academic and athletic excellence. The Department of Athletics at the University of Virginia is looking to fill the position of Sports Dietitian to support the student-athletes of various programs..
The Sports Dietitian is responsible for the development and coordination of optimal nutritional services for student-athletes. They perform individual consultations with students, provide comprehensive services for students with at-risk behaviors, and serve as an expert in nutrition and promote nutritional services. The Sports Dietitian will be responsible for duties including, but are not limited to:
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent (4+ years') related experience Preferred Experience Two years experience as nutritionist or dietitian including 1-2 years in Sports Nutrition. Licensure: Registered Dietitian or Registered Dietitian Eligible through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)/Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). About the Position: The anticipated hiring range is commensurate with qualifications and experience. The selected candidate will pass a background check.
