Position Title: Maintenance

Salary: $60,985.60/year

Shift: 3rd

Hours: 11:15pm-7:30am

Maintenance Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing best practices and code standards

- Prioritize, perform, and improve preventative maintenance of manufacturing facility equipment

- Find mechanical/electrical defects and determine root cause of failure

- Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs-both direct current and alternating current

- Work well with others to complete projects

- Complete installation and fabrication projects on own or with a small group

- Use manuals and other resources to research and locate equipment and parts to support production needs

- Request parts and service if needed

- Operate power and hand tools, metal fabrication equipment, forklift, welder, cutting torch, and multi-meter

- Maintain tools and machinery in good condition and use all tools carefully and as instructed

- Utilize the Maintenance Management software

- Strive to reduce waste, recycle products whenever possible, and re-use resources when practical

- Work safely at all times, follow safety rules and policies, and participate in scheduled training

- Report injuries and near misses promptly and in required detailed format; propose corrective action

- Other duties as assigned

Maintenance Requirements:

- Mechanical or industrial maintenance degree; and at least 1 year of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

- Minimum 3 years of driving experience

- Valid driver's license issued by the state of residence

- Ability to read and comprehend simple notices and instructions, including operating procedures and safety rules

- Ability to print and speak simple sentences

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs

- Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and practices used in building, electrical, and mechanical trades, and of related occupational hazards and safety precautions

- Attention to detail, good organizational and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and in teams

- Proven ability to systematically troubleshoot equipment issues, perform documented causal analysis and implement effective corrective actions

- Proven ability to maintain design integrity of OEM equipment while performing maintenance

- Understanding of Equipment Reliability principles (80/20 rule)

- Ability to continuously improve PM effectiveness

- Ability to manage maintenance activities including prioritization, critical spare management, and scheduling

- Ability to provide status reports, support metric reporting, and overall communications of maintenance activities

- Frequently stand; walk; use hands and/or fingers to type, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms

- Occasionally sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and view a computer monitor or video display

- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds

- Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
