Job Description
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology (S&T) in Rolla, Missouri, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Computer Engineering. Areas of interest include Computer Architecture, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and other emerging fields; however, outstanding candidates in all areas of Computer Engineering will be considered. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an active, externally funded research program, teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and mentor graduate students. In addition, the candidate will have opportunities to engage in interdisciplinary collaborations through S&T's many research centers, including the Kummer Institute Center for Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Systems, the world-renowned Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Laboratory, and strong partnerships with industry and government research sponsors. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is among the largest departments on campus. The department has 21 internationally recognized tenured/tenure-track faculty, 7 teaching and 6 research faculty, 8 staff members, about 600 undergraduate students, and about 100 graduate students. Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering or a closely related field by the start of the appointment and no later than August 1, 2026.
