https://its.uark.edu/ Summary of Job Duties:The Executive Assistant to the Office of the CIO provides critical administrative assistance and customer relations for the Associate Vice Chancellor & Chief Information Officer (CIO) and staff in the Office of the CIO. Staff includes the Director of IT Business Operations, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Chief Technology Officer (CTO), and the following Associate Chief Information Officers: Enterprise Applications & Data Services, Research Infrastructure and Technology, Campus Partnerships, and Enterprise Service Management. The EA provides liaison support between the Chancellor's and Provost's offices, the Executive Vice Chancellor of Finance/Administration, other Vice and Associate Vice Chancellors, Deans, Faculty, Campus IT Directors, Staff, Legal Department, Procurement, Finance, Business Services, and Human Relations. Responsible for office management, departmental policy, reports, documentation, and to coordinate communication across teams to all levels within campus IT; other duties as assigned. This position may also supervise part-time office staff and/or student workers.

Regular reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in general business administration, finance, or a related field or equivalent experience

  • At least three years of experience in administrative support or office management

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite

  • Knowledge of software application programs, database management and accounting principles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five or more years of experience in executive office management and support

  • Three or more years of fiscal management experience

  • Experience using Workday finance and human capital management

  • Knowledge of UofA operations, policies, procedures, applicable laws and regulations

  • Knowledge of university financial/HR information systems, administrative policies

  • Demonstrated success communicating, written and verbal, with a broad range of diverse stakeholders including institutional leadership (Chancellor, Provost, Vice Chancellors, Deans), faculty, and students

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • This position must be an effective advocate: interacting and communicating with individuals at all levels of the institution

  • Skilled and attentive to detail in composing and editing/proofing materials

  • Superior interpersonal skills and be able to handle sensitive and confidential information

  • Work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and appropriately manage multiple competing tasks and demand

  • Conduct research, resolve operational problems, and prepare required reports

  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate activities, resources, and materials associated with the needs of the department or program

  • Build and manage meeting agendas and relevant meeting notes

  • Ability to navigate complex political relationships and handle situations diplomatically, often exercising assertiveness to achieve intended result
