The Horsham Clinic is seeking a dynamic and talentedAdmissions Registered Nurse.

The Horsham Clinic is a 206 bed private behavioral healthcare facility located on a beautiful 55-acre suburban campus. We are minutes from Philadelphia and we serve Southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The Horsham Clinic provides comprehensive behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults, and their families. Programs and services are located on the main campus in Ambler, Pennsylvania, as well as satellite day hospital programs in Pennsylvania, Delaware County, and Chester County. The Admissions Nurse primary responsibilty is to screen and assess referred newly admitted patients medical needs complete nursing assesment on all patients arriving to the facility. The Admissions Nurse assits in the telephonic and in person assessment and comminutcates findings to the Admissions and Nursing staff.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years experience working in Mental Health setting
  • Bachelors in Nursing
  • Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent/ aggressive behavior. General hospital environment.
  • Prior Intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health populaition, preferably in an inpatient setting
  • Knowledge of age specific growth and development
  • Knowledge of addiction issues
  • Knowledge of limit setting and behavior management, crisis management
  • Highly Developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to plan, direct, and monitor others activities with demonstrated leadership abilities that contribute to a positive work environment.
  • RN license required
