Job Summary: The Lead Engineer, C2SET, is responsible for providing senior technical leadership, hands-on engineering, and subject matter expertise for the Command and Control Simulation Environment for Training (C2SET) program. This role is critical to the successful development, sustainment, modernization, and operational support of C2SET software, models, and systems. The Lead Engineer will architect, develop, secure, implement, test, and lead software sustainment and development teams in C5ISR Modeling & Simulation (M&S), working closely with the Government PM, technical, test, and fielding teams. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide senior knowledge and hands-on experience in architecting, developing, securing, implementing, testing, and leading software sustainment and development teams in C5ISR M&S.
- Lead the design, update, and replacement of software, databases, simulations, algorithms, and related components at the direction of the C2SET Government PM or M&S design lead.
- Ensure operational sustainment, maintenance, improvement, and migration of software code and functionality.
- Oversee full stack development, including Agile development methodologies and artifact management.
- Perform software tasks as identified in the Contractor PWS, including integration with M&S Government/Contractor software teams.
- Lead efforts to sustain, maintain, and improve C2SET fielded capabilities, including software, models, algorithms, interfaces, integrations, Kubernetes/containerized environments, database management, test, security patching, and DevSecOps platform support.
- Support the development and integration of new models, simulation engines, and frameworks (e.g., AFSIM, AWSIM, ABS, MSSV).
- Apply experience working with cloud-based services (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure) and/or RESTful architectures.
- Support the implementation and configuration of DevSecOps pipelines and cloud/on-premises environments as required by the M&S application, user, or site.
- Apply at least 2 years of experience in military mission planning, operations, and wargaming.
- Apply at least 2 years of relevant experience in simulation training at various levels, working with Air Operations Centers (AOCs).
- Provide technical expertise for operational sustainment, improvement, and migration of C2SET software in support of training, exercises, and events.
- Work and integrate with M&S Government/Contractor software teams, ensuring effective communication and technical alignment.
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and Agile ceremonies as required.
- Support knowledge transfer, transition-in, and transition-out activities as required by the contract.

Requirements
Minimum & Desired Requirements:
- At least 10 years of relevant experience developing in systems such as C++, Python, AFSIM, web services, database, and/or web application development.
- Experience working with cloud-based services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and/or RESTful architectures.
- At least 2 years of experience in military mission planning, operations, and wargaming.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in simulation training at various levels working with AOCs.
- Extensive experience in full stack development, Agile development, and artifact management.
- Security+ CE certification, desired.
- Linux+ certification, desired.
Security Clearance:
- DoD Active TOP SECRET Level Clearance Required.
