What You'll Do

As the Finance Director of Controlling, you will directly support the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This role manages multiple teams, including AP, AR, Transactional Finance, Fixed Asset Accounting, Statutory Accounting, as well as General Finance and Accounting Support for all of Dyno Nobel Americas. Other duties include:

  • Responsible for timely closing of SAP on a monthly basis, including interacting with various internal stakeholders to ensure accounting results are valid
  • Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety.
  • Live and foster the Dyno Nobel Corporate Values.
  • Financial support of assigned business units
  • Provide general finance support for monthly, quarterly and annual closings focused primarily on analysis of results
  • Inspire and motivate commitment to the organization's vision, values, purpose, and direction
  • Responsible for coordination, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the department/team and creating a positive climate where people achieve optimal results
  • Design and maintain financial KPIs, management reporting and results review meetings that provide insightful analysis of performance results, identify risks and opportunities, and drive actionable discussion
  • Work collaboratively with managers to establish aggressive budgets
  • Partner closely with business owners throughout the company to build collaborative working relationships and influence them to superior results through data driven insights
  • Gain acceptance of ideas and suggestions from senior business executives

What We're Looking For:

  • B.S degree with major in finance or accounting
  • Advance degree required (MBA, MAcc)
  • CPA or similar designation strongly preferred
  • Experience within finance for large public companies and extensive interaction with senior level management.
  • 10+ years of progressively increasing financial and management responsibilities
  • Proven track record with streamlining financial processes, systems and reporting.
  • Track record of leading key initiatives and establishing, communicating and accomplishing company goals.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. SAP, Hyperion, and Dashboard experience (Tableau / Qlik) preferred
  • Experience in financial modeling and forecasting
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
