Position Summary

The Intermediate Help Desk Technician provides Tier I/II technical support to Trideum employees across corporate and contract environments. This role ensures end-user hardware, software, and network systems operate reliably and securely while contributing to compliance with CMMC Level 2 and NIST 800-171 requirements. The technician will troubleshoot incidents, manage user accounts, and resolve service requests through Trideum's IT Service Desk. This position will join a team that supports 500 employees across multiple locations, directly impacting productivity and mission success.

What You'll Do



  • Duties

    • Provide Tier I/II support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, VoIP, and mobile devices.
    • Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 applications, Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, and OneDrive issues.
    • Manage user accounts, access permissions, and group policies in Active Directory, Entra ID, and Azure AD.
    • Support Intune-managed endpoints, including compliance, patching, and security configurations.
    • Resolve incidents and service requests through the ITSM ticketing system with timely, professional communication.
    • Assist with onboarding/offboarding processes including device provisioning and account setup.
    • Troubleshoot VPN, remote access, and basic network connectivity issues.
    • Document solutions and contribute to the Service Desk knowledge base.
    • Escalate complex or high-priority incidents to senior administrators or external vendors when needed.
    • Participate in IT operations initiatives such as patch cycles, endpoint rollouts, and software deployments.
    • Support compliance by following established SOPs and reporting on endpoint status and service desk metrics


  • Travel Requirements

    • Minimal travel required to Trideum branch offices, customer sites, and professional development conferences




Requirements and Qualifications:



  • Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred; equivalent technical experience accepted.
    • CompTIA Security+ certification required (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
    • Commitment to ongoing professional development, including earning/maintaining relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Administrator, Azure Fundamentals, ITIL Foundation).


  • Experience

    • 2-4 years of IT support or help desk experience in a corporate or regulated environment.
    • Experience supporting Windows 10/11 endpoints, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory account management.
    • Exposure to endpoint management tools such as Intune, SCCM, or equivalent.
    • Experience working with ITSM platforms (Ivanti Neurons preferred).
    • Familiarity with basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, DHCP).
    • Demonstrated ability to deliver timely incident resolution and customer-focused support.


  • Skills

    • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network domains.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and common business productivity tools.
    • Ability to follow SOPs and contribute to process documentation.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Customer service orientation with the ability to work effectively with employees of varying technical skill levels.
    • Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability in a fast-paced environment.


  • US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
