Description

University Hospitals, Division of Trauma, Critical Care, and Acute Care Surgery

Cleveland, Ohio, USA

University Hospitals is seeking Acute Care/Trauma Surgeons to join our expanding trauma system. The UH Trauma System is made up of American College of Surgeons-verified Level 1 and Level 3 Trauma Centers located throughout Northeast Ohio.

At our Level 1 Trauma Center at UH Cleveland Medical Center, the Division also runs a 24/7 Acute Care Surgery service and a Trauma/Surgical Intensive Care Unit. These service lines have seen tremendous growth over the past several years. The surgeon who joins this team must be prepared for a very busy practice in an urban environment with high acuity and high rates of penetrating trauma.

Our Level 3 Trauma Centers have seen similar growth in both volume and acuity. To accommodate this evolution, the Division has several opportunities at these sites for all experience levels. Surgeons will be able to work at both the Level 1 and 3 sites.

Our surgeons hold academic appointments as Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and are expected to participate as teaching faculty for medical students, residents, and fellows from multiple departments. The Division has a robust research portfolio, including surgical simulation and a funded basic science lab with dedicated surgeon-investigators.

University Hospitals compensation package will be very competitive and includes:

* Relocation assistance

* Paid malpractice

* Paid CME and time off

* 401(a), 403(b), and 457(b) retirement offerings with matching

* Full medical, dental, vision, disability insurance coverage

Every day, for more than 150 years, the physicians of University Hospitals have renewed a promise to meeting our patients' health care needs.
