Overview of the Position: Coordinates the operation of Quality, certifications and regulations required by the department. Plans, directs, or coordinates the work activities and resources necessary for attaining corporate and departmental goals in accordance with cost, quality, time and quantity specifications. Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in the Sciences, Business, Engineering or other technical fields and five years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. GD&T experience, ability to read engineering drawings. Experience with standard inspection equipment including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, ring/pin gauges, optical comparator, etc. is preferred. Previous experience with Aerospace Regulations specifically 14 CFR Part 21 (Certification Procedures for Products and Articles), ISO9000 series, AS9100, AS9102 is desired. Previous experience with Quality Assurance in aerospace/aviation is desired. Other Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must be able to effectively communicate any problems they encounter with upper management, suppliers, and customers. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, commissions, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply statistical tools such as standard deviation, chi-square tests, distribution analysis, advanced algebra, and geometry. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
