Description

BlueHalo, an AV Company, has an opportunity available for a Data Scientist/Database Engineer to join our team working at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH. This position will support research within the Human Performance Directorate, 711th Human Performance Wing. The individual in this position will 1) aggregate, integrate, and organize datasets into repositories, 2) generate insights using advanced data science methods, and 3) collaborate with physiologists and engineers to report findings.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The successful candidate will find novel biomechanical and physiological insights from complex data streams. They will accomplish this by developing and refining analytic and data visualization tools, including automated process workflows; perform big data analytics, including, but not limited to, descriptive statistics, trend modeling, dose-response modeling, statistical analyses, and predictive algorithm development; and curate and expand existing data requirements.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL BRING



  • M.S. or Ph.D. in data science, or related field.
  • 3-7 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficiency in statistical software, including R.
  • Proficiency in data science in support of biology/physiology.
  • Ability to create and maintain databases using automation tools.
  • Demonstrable experience in essential programming languages
  • Must be proficient in technical writing and presentations
  • Excellent communication skills and organization
  • This position is working within a government facility and requires U.S. Citizenship
