The Division of Academic & Student Affairs ( DASA) is where students discover connections and community. The TRIO Programs, including 21st Century Community Learning Center, provide academic enrichment support to low-income, first generation students. Collectively all programs serve students from middle school through college. The mission of the NCSU programs is to provide equal access to quality education for participants who have academic potential to succeed in college and to encourage and motivate participants to enroll and graduate from college.
The focus of the Instructor/Tutor is to provide instruction and one-to-one or group tutorial services to 21st Century Community Learning Center students.
The Instructor/Tutor will be responsible for the following:

  • Assisting participants in academic skill building for core curricula courses, especially rigorous curriculum courses
  • Conduct or secure facilitators for Special Labs, which may include instruction in ACT test prep, STEM exposure and instrument, workforce development skills, family enrichment activities, etc.
