Atlas Technologies is seeking a Mid-Level Software Developer with hands-on experience in the Document Coordination & Routing System (DCARS) to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a developer who is skilled in building and maintaining document workflow solutions in enterprise or federal environments. The successful candidate will support the development, integration, and optimization of document-centric systems, ensuring compliance with organizational routing protocols, approvals, and security frameworks. This is a remote position with potential for travel up to 10% You Will:
- Develop, configure, and maintain applications that integrate with the DCARS platform.
- Design and implement document workflows and routing logic in alignment with business or mission requirements.
- Collaborate with users, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot issues related to document processing, routing logic, permissions, or integration points.
- Provide helpdesk support to users of DCARS and answer questions on how to use, configure, and manage SharePoint.
- Write and maintain technical documentation for system configurations, workflows, and custom modules.
- Support system upgrades, patches, and migration efforts related to DCARS.
- Ensure system security, data integrity, and compliance with federal or organizational standards.
Must Haves:
- 3-5 years of experience in software/application development.
- Proven experience working with the Document Coordination & Routing System (DCARS) in a development or integration capacity.
- Working knowledge of platforms commonly integrated with DCARS (e.g., SharePoint, Alfresco, custom portals).
- Strong proficiency in one or more development languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript).
- Experience working with document management systems, workflow engines, or content services platforms.
- Expert understanding of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Project Server, Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint Designer.
- Familiarity with data access methods (e.g., REST/SOAP APIs, SQL, SharePoint integration).
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices, access control, and auditing/logging features within document systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active clearance (or ability to obtain clearance).
- Experience with XML/XSLT for document formatting and transformation.
- Experience with SharePoint Framework with React JS.
