Position Overview

The Principal People & Workforce Analytics Specialist will serve as a senior thought leader and hands-on expert in leveraging data and advanced analytics to shape workforce strategy and decision-making. This role is responsible for defining and leading the organization's people analytics strategy, building scalable measurement frameworks, and providing insights that enable leaders to optimize talent, culture, and organizational performance.

This individual will partner closely with HR, business leaders, and executive stakeholders to develop predictive insights, drive workforce planning, and enable data-informed decisions across the employee lifecycle. As a principal-level role, the position requires deep technical expertise, strong business acumen, and the ability to influence at the highest levels of the organization.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Design and execute analytics strategies that align with workforce and business priorities.
  • Build and maintain scalable dashboards, models, and tools to support decision-making across HR and business units.
  • Conduct complex analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and deep-dive investigations to support strategic initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor within HR and across the business, translating data into actionable insights.
  • Facilitate consensus-building across diverse stakeholder groups using data-driven narratives.
  • Effectively compile and present findings to senior leadership through visualizations, presentations, and written reports.
  • Simplify complex data for non-technical audiences, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Partner with technology teams to optimize data systems and reporting infrastructure.
  • Stay current on and anticipate changes in industry trends, tools, and methodologies to elevate analytics maturity across the organization.
  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
  • Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance and flexibility to travel as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Physics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant business experience, including 3+ years in direct business or people analytics.
  • Proficiency in visualization tools (preferably Tableau), Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and programming languages (R, Python, SQL, SAS).
  • Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence strategic decisions.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Math, Physics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.

Salary Range:

$133,000.00 - $226,000.00

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible.
