MGB Emergency Medicine serves nearly 500,000 patients annually, primarily through its 10 emergency department locations, and manages a diverse and complex portfolio of sponsored and non-sponsored research programs, training programs, and a variety of services and initiatives that support all mission areas of MGB EM. The Financial Analyst will be an integral part of the team, collaborating with financial leadership to manage expenses, report monthly financials, and track clinical commitments.
Summary: Supports financial decision making by monitoring deadlines; collecting, summarizing, and consolidating data; allocating variances; analyzing and interpreting data; making comparative analyses; explaining data and assumptions; researching and correcting variance problems; assembling and analyzing historical financial data; explaining data and assumptions. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions: Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management -Support the on-boarding of junior analysts by mentoring and assisting them -Track key performance indicators, prepare financial reports and sometimes present them -Create ad-hoc reports and perform financial analysis -Assists project teams with financial guidance -Reviews financial reporting and ensures data integrity to enable management decisions. -Ensures compliance with financial guidelines, company policies and regulations Education The General Hospital Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
