Posting Summary
The School of Criminal Justice, Rutgers University invites applications for Winter 2026 Instructor teaching position in the undergraduate program.
The successful applicant will develop and instruct undergraduate courses on Cybercrime and Ethical & Philosophical Issues in the Criminal Justice System.
The selected instructor shall report to the Dean of the School of Criminal Justice, prepare and submit course syllabi, meet and provide pedagogically appropriate instruction asynchronously, provide timely student feedback, respond to student emails, and adhere to grade submission policies and deadlines.
This three-credit course will be offered online and asynchronously during the two-week, intensive Winter Session from Dec 2025 to Jan 2026.

Qualifications






Minimum Education and Experience
Masters or JD Required.
Doctorate Preferred.

Demonstrated ability to teach at the university level.

Applicants with comparable degrees from accredited institutions may also be considered. Prior teaching is also preferred.

Overview
The School of Criminal Justice at Rutgers University-Newark was founded in 1974 by an act of the New Jersey Legislature-the only school in America with this kind of legal charter. Its purposes have always been to (1) produce scholarship of the highest quality on crime and justice (2) provide state and local justice agencies with crucial evidence and consultation about the policy and practice of criminal justice, and (3) produce graduates who take their places as productive and respected scholars in the field.
