As a Float Pharmacist at UCLA Health, you'll play a vital role in delivering safe, effective, and patient-centered care across our inpatient settings. Working under supervision, you'll prepare and dispense medications, maintain and review patient medication profiles, and counsel patients on appropriate drug use. You'll collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals to ensure optimal therapy and prevent misuse or medication errors. In addition, you'll provide a wide range of clinical pharmacy services, including pharmacokinetic dosing, therapeutic interchange, IV/PO conversions, TPN management, and pharmacist-led interventions, in alignment with departmental policies and best practices.

Schedule: varied shifts, depending on department needs, including weekends and holidays

Hourly Salary Range: $85.87 - $100.58 (Union represented, step-based salary depending on years of experience)

Bargaining Unit: HX-UPTE

Qualifications

We're seeking a dedicated clinical
professional with:


  • Pharm D. degree and current CA Pharmacy
    license
  • ASHP-accredited residency (preferred).
  • 2 yearsinpatientpharmacy
    experience
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal,
    organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform age specific and
    disease specific pharmacokinetic calculations.
  • Ability to compound intravenous admixtures and other
    sterile products.
