Pay Rate: $20.23



GENERAL DESCRIPTION:


Responsible for cleaning and filling all hand, foot, barrel, and knife dip stations while production is ongoing.



MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:


* Monitor the chemical concentrations in the hand, foot, barrel, and knife dip stations at least three times per shift and change them as necessary.


* Measure and titrate chemicals according to the written Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP).


* Document all critical chemical concentrations and any corrective actions taken.


* Clean the cull room and cull bins throughout the shift.


* Handle chemicals safely at all times.


* Work independently with limited supervision.


* Perform any other duties assigned by your supervisor.



Required Skills

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:



  • SKILLS: Good oral communication skills are required.
  • ADDITIONAL: Candidates must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented food processing environment. Independence and the ability to work with limited supervision are essential. Regular and acceptable attendance is required, along with the ability to follow directions, interact well with co-workers, and understand and adhere to posted work rules and procedures.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Work is performed in a cool environment with an average temperature of 34 degrees Fahrenheit. Concentrated chlorine and concealed ammonia are present in the area. Work surfaces and floors may be wet. Employees are required to wear approved shoes and protective equipment. Workers must be able to lift and maneuver up to 60 pounds unassisted for up to three quarters of the workday, as well as lift 6 pounds overhead as needed. The job may involve constant standing on a concrete floor, along with reaching, bending, stooping, and repetitive hand movements. Additionally, moving machinery, including conveyors and forklifts, is in operation in the immediate vicinity.

  • Previous experience in a food processing facility is preferred but not necessary. We are willing to provide training. Previous experience in a food processing facility is desire but not required. Willing to train.
