Responsibilities

- Perform all job responsibilities safely while championing a culture of health and safety.
- Proactively engage new and existing customers via phone, email, online portals, text, and chat to identify rental opportunities, generate quotes, and close business.
- Conduct outreach campaigns to re-engage dormant accounts and develop new customer relationships.
- Build lasting customer partnerships by understanding needs, recommending solutions, and promoting add-on equipment.
- Collaborate with outside sales representatives to target accounts, develop proposals, and deliver seamless service.
- Participate in telemarketing campaigns as assigned to support business development efforts.
- Maintain accurate CRM records to track customer interactions, opportunities, and follow-ups.
- Prepare rental contracts, obtain necessary signatures, and ensure all customer information is complete.
- Serve as an information resource to customers regarding available equipment and services in the local market.
- Gather details on delivery conditions (e.g., dock heights, access limitations) and promptly notify customers of any delivery issues or delays.
- Support the Rental Operations Manager with reporting, analytics, and special projects to increase sales and equipment utilization.
- Manage rental reservations, ensuring accurate scheduling and availability.
- Update daily win/loss reports and monitor competitive pricing and market trends.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Attend department, branch, and safety meetings.
- Remain flexible to work after hours and participate in on-call rotation as needed to meet customer demands.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
- Previous rental industry experience preferred; relevant work experience and demonstrated knowledge will be considered.
- Strong sales and customer relationship skills with the ability to quickly build rapport over the phone.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Professional, friendly, and solutions-oriented mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
- Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Ability to collaborate with employees, management, and customers at all levels in a positive and professional manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn and navigate internal systems with training.
- Strong problem-solving skills and creativity in identifying customer solutions.
- Working knowledge of construction phases to properly advise customers on equipment applications.
- Self-motivated, energetic, and driven with a strong work ethic.
Working Conditions
- Primarily office-based with some outdoor work required in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid environments).
- Travel required for special projects and training; must be physically present on job sites as needed.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required to ensure safety and prevent exposure to hazards.
- Role involves physical activities such as standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, and lifting heavy objects.
- Requires the ability to see, read, and write to effectively perform job responsibilities.
- Regular use of computers and related technology to complete daily tasks.
