Position Summary

We are seeking an Operations Associate to be an integral member of the AIM team, providing operational support to keep the high-performing team running effectively. The role will provide exposure to all aspects of AIM's work, including performance and impact reporting, internal systems management, fund and policy compliance, and audit support- all with a focus on inclusive financial institutions and Fintechs. The position is full-time in a dynamic, hard-working team, with opportunities for growth for high achievers.

Position Responsibilities

Portfolio Management and Investment Support:

    Collaborate closely with investment staff to produce reports, portfolio updates, and timely responses to investor information requests.
  • Prepare the agenda and coordinate all quarterly and annual LP and LP Advisory Committee meetings.
  • Coordinate and take minutes for key AIM meetings such as Executive Committee, Investment Committees, LP Advisory Committees, LP meetings and others.
  • Support teams as required with fund-raising tasks including data room management.
  • Support Managing Partners with ad hoc reporting needs.

Assist with communications, decks, and materials prepared for AIM, for prospective LPs:

  • Primarily focused on new capital raising, though not exclusively.
  • Work closely with the Investment Fundraiser to support fundraising efforts.
  • Provide support in the preparation of quarterly and annual reports.
  • Support Managing Partners with ad hoc reporting needs.
  • Collect and manage requests for marketing materials (including pitch decks, PPMs, data rooms) to ensure compliance with SEC marketing regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Legal department to assist in the preparation and review of SEC filings and other regulatory documentation.

Additional Duties:

  • Support the Finance function in the annual audit process and coordinate audit materials with other team members.
  • Design and oversee investment management systems, policies and procedures, including document management and warehousing process, tracking consistency with investment policy and historic practices.
  • Oversee corporate administration support including file management as well as maintaining AIM's operating documents.
  • Manage vendor relationships, participate in vendor negotiations as needed, and ensure contracts are up to date.

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business, Economics, Finance or a related field.
  • 5 (or more) years of relevant work experience.
  • Investment management firms or fund experience strongly preferred. The ideal candidate also has experience in an SEC regulated entity.
  • Project management skills: ability to develop and execute operational plans successfully.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (especially Power Point).
  • Knowledge of financial analysis, financial inclusion, and/or impact investing industry, also a plus.
  • Excellent English communication skills. Proficiency in Spanish and/or French desired.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, ability to prioritize and work independently.
  • Ability to foster collaboration and build strong relationships across diverse teams and backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary Range: $70K- $90K
  • The above salary range serves as a general guideline. Accion considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, training, skills, location, current market conditions as well as internal pay alignment.
  • AIM provides a total compensation package, including base salary, discretionary merit-based bonus, and a variety of benefits including health insurance (90% employer funded), life and disability insurance, retirement plans (up to 6% employer match), paid holidays and paid time-off for vacation plus personal days as well as sick days.
