As a Security Officer - Armed Site - Access Control in Brooksville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Screener in a government location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, conducting security-related screenings, and remaining highly visible to help to deter potential incidents. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry out your duties with professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility. You will interact with the public, provide clear communication, and deliver exceptional customer service while upholding the values of Allied Universal. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Screen individuals entering the location to help to deter prohibited items and/or unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain order within the location.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, staff, and law enforcement as needed.
• Document and report any suspicious activity, incidents, or irregularities according to site protocols.
• Remain alert and attentive while performing screening duties to help to deter potential threats.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
