Position Summary: GoldenWolf is seeking a Data Analyst to perform data quality activities to include the totality of efforts involved with the monitoring, collection, integration, synchronization, reporting, and assessment of the business impact associated with poor data quality as related to DHA FE projects and initiatives. Essential Functions: 01) Data Exploration & Analysis
- Explore datasets to identify issues and inform analytic plans
- Conduct exploratory and metadata analyses, interpreting results to highlight significant relationships and trends
- Aggregate and analyze population, clinical, and facilities data for decision-making and stakeholder inquiries
- Access, validate, and link diverse medical, clinical workload, facilities, safety, environmental, occupational, and personnel databases
02) Specifications & Reporting
- Write detailed specifications for analysis plans, data files, and system-specific data models (e.g., DMLSS-FM, GFEBS, DMHRSi)
- Interpret and present analytical findings to support effective, data-driven decisions
- Provide program data queries, prepare reports, and automate standard updates on modeling and performance metrics
03) Data Quality, Validation & Management
- Evaluate source data and acquisition procedures for reliability, validity, and efficiency
- Validate, manipulate, and analyze datasets of varying scale, including big data
- Identify and troubleshoot data import, analysis, and display errors across multiple sources
- Maintain and update the data catalog to reflect new ingestions and enhance data discoverability
04) Predictive Modeling & Metrics
- Build and monitor predictive models using established and innovative statistical techniques
- Research, define, and develop metrics aligned with DHA/MHS leadership guidance and national benchmarks
- Assess and continually monitor model performance and outcome impacts

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Two years of experience using SQL for data manipulation
- One year of software management and data retrieval experience
- Two years of implementing or supporting clinical information systems and managing medical/clinical/health care data analysis
- Proficient in programming and advanced operations research for SQL on enterprise and tactical infrastructures
- Skilled with statistical packages (R, Python) and commercial analytics tools (Tableau, MS Excel)
Required Skills: Demonstrate critical thinking, innovation, and proactive problem-solving Manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, time-constrained environment Deliver products on time, within scope, and the budget, adapting to changing requirements Exhibit strong business acumen and stakeholder engagement for healthcare delivery systems Technical Knowledge & Tools:
- Proficient in relational databases, SQL querying, and data modeling
- Skilled in interactive visualization tools: Tableau, QlikView, Power BI
- Knowledgeable in statistical packages (e.g., R, Python) and advanced analytical methods (trend analysis, simulation)
- Expert in Microsoft Office (Excel macros, pivot tables, automation) and Microsoft 365 suite
- Apply information security principles to all analytics efforts
Communication & Collaboration:
- Translate business processes into data models and technical specifications
- Communicate methods, analyses, and recommendations clearly to technical and management audiences
- Lead or participate in working groups to optimize analytic processes and deliverables
- Support ad hoc customer requests through ticketing systems and requirements gathering
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in health services research, Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field of study.
- Previous participation in advanced training/program in their area of expertise is required, or the equivalent combination of education and experience, or
- Significant clinical/medical/facilities/health data experience, such as previous participation in a(n) analytics/quantitative/informatics program as an appropriate substitute for education
Salary Description
$70,000.00 - $100,000.00
