Position Summary

The IT Operations Manager leads Trideum's Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) team, setting the vision, strategy, and execution plan to ensure the availability, performance, and security of enterprise IT services. This role drives operational excellence while modernizing infrastructure capabilities to support corporate growth, CMMC compliance, and DoD mission success. This role manages day-to-day operations for the Service Desk, network, server infrastructure, and Microsoft 365/Azure administration. The IT Operations Manager will develop and maintain a high-performing team that delivers reliable technology services to 500+ employees across multiple locations, supporting both corporate and DoD contract environments.

What You'll Do



  • Lead Trideum's Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) team, delivering reliable IT services to 500+ employees across multiple locations.
  • Lead the Service Desk, network, data center, and Microsoft 365/Azure teams; overseeing enterprise systems to ensure availability, performance, and security.
  • Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures for IT service delivery, system administration, and operational change control.
  • Oversee asset, configuration, and patch/update management processes across all systems
  • Manage and continuously improve the Service Desk function, ensuring timely incident resolution, effective problem management, and positive end-user experiences.
  • Implement governance processes and service quality metrics to monitor, improve, and communicate I&O's business value.
  • Lead planning, deployment, and maintenance for core IT infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, server refreshes, and cloud service enhancements.
  • Manage purchasing and procurement for I&O hardware, software, and services, and oversee an annual I&O budget of $3M
  • Partner with Cybersecurity to ensure vulnerability remediation and operational compliance with CMMC Level 2, NIST SP 800-171, and DFARS.
  • Oversee operational monitoring, capacity planning, and disaster recovery preparedness for all core systems.
  • Manage relationships with hardware, software, and cloud service vendors; ensure contractual SLAs are met.
  • Track operational metrics, prepare reports, and present recommendations for continuous improvement to the Director of IT.
  • Mentor and develop I&O team members, fostering technical expertise, operational discipline, and customer service excellence.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership and stakeholders to shape enterprise technology strategy and budget planning.
  • Travel Requirements. minimal travel required to Trideum branch offices, customer sites, and cybersecurity conferences


Requirements and Qualifications:



  • Education & Certifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required
    • Relevant technical certifications (current or previously held) in IT infrastructure, operations, or related technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Cisco CCNP, Red Hat RHCSA, CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Server+) are preferred
    • Commitment to professional development in IT infrastructure, operations, and leadership, including earning/maintaining relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, Azure Administrator, CCNP, RHCSA), attending technical or leadership training, participating in industry conferences, and staying current with emerging technologies


  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 7 years of progressive IT infrastructure and operations experience, including at least 3 years managing multi-disciplinary teams (service desk, network, infrastructure, and cloud administration) in a small-to-medium-sized business or regulated environment, with responsibility for staffing, budgeting, project delivery, and compliance.
    • Hands-on technical background in enterprise networking, Windows Server, Linux administration, virtualization, and Microsoft 365/Azure administration.
    • Experience implementing ITIL-based service management processes, including incident, problem, change, and asset management.
    • Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, ISO 27001) and experience partnering with cybersecurity teams.
    • Demonstrated success in delivering infrastructure projects on time and within budget


  • Skills:

    • Strong leadership and team-building skills with a focus on operational excellence and service delivery
    • Broad technical knowledge of digital workplace services, network infrastructure, server administration, Microsoft 365, and Teams.
    • Ability to translate business requirements into practical IT solutions while maintaining security and compliance.
    • Proficiency with IT service management (ITSM) platforms (Ivanti Neurons preferred) and monitoring tools.
    • Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including policy and procedure documentation.
    • Analytical problem-solving skills with a track record of improving operational efficiency.
    • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service quality


  • US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance is required
