Reporting to the Chief Culture & Inclusion Officer, the Sr. Specialist will be responsible for the following and the implementation of short, mid, and long-term strategies aligned with our organizational Culture & Inclusion (C&I) strategic goals. You should be a self-starter with motivation to identify, internalize and apply varied knowledge/perspectives to the C&I role. Provide strategic leadership to Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and partner closely with local Employee Councils and other external partners. You will be responsible for aligning inclusion and culture efforts with corporate strategy, to maintain integrity in all C&I deliverables, to anticipate future trends and connect the dots between the business issue / bottom line/ business integration and C&I.

Responsibilities
  • Work with Chief C&I Officer to continue to bring to life comprehensive C&I strategy, as well as related programs/initiatives and projects across the enterprise. Liaison with internal and external resources to understand needs and provide recommendations to execute C&I strategy. Provide input to business segments/departments, and direct partnership with leaders/partners to understand different functional needs and recommend plans, education, programs and systems related to attracting, retaining, and promoting an inclusive workforce, while continuing to support existing work of an inclusive culture in support of Wendy's corporate values, policies, and practices.
  • Primary point of contact with TA. Partners with Talent Acquisition in Recruiting activities to help the workforce outreach locally and globally. Provides communication and conducts presentations, roundtables or listening sessions, cultural panels /fireside chats, focused on a culture of inclusion system wide.
  • Lead/point-of-contact for primary external relationships: Manage external partners and deliverables. E.g., GlobeSmart, Women's Foodservice Forum, McKinsey, LinkedIn Learning, IDI Inclusion toolkit, Inclusion surveys & Indexes.
  • Partners and collaborates with internal & field teams (GM's, VP US Op's, Communication, HRBP, Corporate Social Responsibility, Data Governance, Finance) to support internal and external calendarization, reporting, compliance and governance needs. Create and action yearly plans for engaging stakeholders.
  • Facilitation of Culture & Inclusion training and education programs, seminars & Webinars. Subject matter expert to support writing, development, and design of customized C&I training. Manage C&I materials and outreach for company-owned restaurants as required. Organize content, lead, and facilitate training requests. Ie: TMYK info series, GM Mentorship Program
  • Working with the Chief C&I Officer, and C&I Specialist to support the ERG strategy and expansion efforts on a global scale. This includes the international and field partners along with our support partners at our support center. Supports programming and leadership in planning as needed, including field development and outreach.


What we expect from you
  • Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years' professional experience with concentrated experience in the areas of Culture & Inclusion.
  • Experience with a large national brand preferred.
  • Experience working with front line employees preferred.
  • Prior experience in project management and managing a complex calendar of programs & events.
  • Prior experience in education or corporate training both design and facilitation
  • Demonstrated strength in data analysis, partnership management, influencing, written and verbal communications and continuous improvement.

The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position.* The target annual bonus for this role is 10% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance. Director and above roles are also eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive award program.
