Job Title: Referral Coordinator Location: On-site Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Referral Coordinator to join our team on site in Oklahoma City. This role is essential in ensuring timely and accurate coordination of patient referrals, pre-certifications, and prior authorizations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering excellent patient support. Key Responsibilities: * Coordinate and process provider referrals, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate. * Obtain pre-certifications and prior authorizations from insurance providers for medical services and procedures. * Communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies to facilitate smooth referral processes. * Occasional off site travel to locations as necessary. * Maintain and update referral tracking systems and patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations. * Monitor referral status and follow up to ensure timely appointments and continuity of care. * Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to resolve any issues related to referrals or authorizations. * Provide exceptional customer service to patients and providers, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally. Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred. * Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in referrals, authorizations, or medical office administration. * Familiarity with insurance guidelines and medical terminology. * Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and referral management systems. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Experience Level Expert Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
