We're looking for a Business Development Coordinator who's ready to be the behind-the-scenes force that keeps our growth engine running.

In this role, you'll connect people, processes, and platform making sure our business development efforts run smoothly from first contact to signed deal. One day you might be managing bid platforms like BuildingConnected, the next you're supporting a major proposal or trade show. You'll be part of a team that's delivering innovative solutions in electrical construction, engineering, and automation for industries like food & beverage, agriculture, energy, data centers, and more.

Responsibilities:



  • Manage the prequalification process and related platforms (e.g., ISN, Avetta, TradeTapp) by gathering cross-functional input on safety stats, legal data, project experience, and compliance documentation.
  • Monitor, update, and route BuildingConnected bid board projects and RFQs; streamline profiles across platforms.
  • Support proposal creation by compiling proposal packets from Sales Leader content and existing BD templates.
  • Assist or own the coordination of tradeshow activities including attendee tracking, deliverables, and completion of Scorecards; act as a backup point of contact.
  • Support BD administrative functions by assisting with data extraction from Dynamics and metrics generation
  • Assist in the training of team members on Business Development systems and processes, ensuring strong technical fluency across tools and platforms.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and administrator for CRM systems, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and usability for reporting and analysis.
  • Help to generate and distribute monthly CRM reports, BD metrics, and performance scorecards.
  • Participate in the assembly and prioritization of target clients, establishing clear quarterly and annual BD goals.
  • Partner with BD and Delivery Teams to establish and track goal progress, escalating concerns as necessary.
  • Maintain and enhance BD standards, procedures, and internal documentation to reflect evolving industrial and technical requirements.
  • Analyze BD performance trends, including lagging indicators and conversion rates across industries served.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement in BD systems, workflows, and team efficiency.
  • Provide light analysis of prospect pools to optimize target ratios and forecast potential conversion outcomes.
  • Support organizational adherence to BD standards across disciplines including prefabrication, analytics, automation, operational technology, and industrial audits.
  • On as needed basis, collecting and updating client contact and project information to use as project references.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Experience in technical, engineering, or construction sectors, particularly in support of automation, industrial analytics, or prefabrication services.
  • Experience in Data management, Computer forensics, Information/Data Science also a positive.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems or desire and ability to learn (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics), and familiarity with BD platforms like Building Connected, ISN, or Avetta.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting sales or business development teams in a technical services environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and strong organizational and communication skills required.

Education: Minimum of Associates, Bachelor's a bonus
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, Engineering, Associates' degree in Administrative or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Travel: Limited travel expected with this position, up to 15% (expected travel: Sioux Center, IA and Omaha, NE for 2x a year)
