We are looking for a Software Support - Startup Specialist to join our dynamic delivery team. In this role, you'll provide support for custom-built applications tailored to meet the needs of our clients. We're seeking someone with solid SQL skills and a broad foundation in software development. While the role isn't tied to a specific language, experience with technologies like C#, Python, or web development (HTML, etc.) is highly valued and considered essential for success. Automation experience is beneficial but not required. The ideal candidate will have experience working directly with clients, be comfortable with regular travel, and be able to work from Sioux Falls, SD or Sioux Center, IA office locations.

Responsibilities:



  • The Software Support Specialist provides support for custom-built applications tailored to meet client needs.
  • Prepping instances and environments for solution deployments.
  • Traveling on-site to implement and support software and automation solutions for Interstates' customers.
  • Keeping detailed notes and documentation on steps followed and work completed.
  • Communicating through support issues with clients via phone, e-mail, and chat.
  • Following best practices and standards for issue processing.
  • Providing after-hours support to clients.
  • Translating customer requirements into setups and configurations within Interstates' customer environments.
  • Delivering on-site training to Interstates' customers on our software solutions.
  • Troubleshooting SQL databases and optimizing queries for performance.


Preferred Skills:



  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Experience in the following (or closely related) technologies a plus.
  • High leve coding languages such as C#
  • Able to remain adaptable and solutions-focused when managing competing priorities and time constraints.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and take ownership of tasks without direct supervision, with examples of past contributions that led to process improvements, issue resolution, or customer satisfaction.
  • SQL Server Reporting Services
  • PLC and HMI experience


Knowledge and Expertise for this Role



  • 2 or 4-year degree in computer science, software development, or related technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in the SQL Programming language.
  • Intermediate understanding of coding practices.


Location: This position and individual will be based out of Sioux Falls, SD, or Sioux Center, IA .

Travel: The amount of travel will vary according to business requirements (may be up to 25%).
