Duties:

  • Design and analyze mechanical and hydraulic components of off road or refuse vehicles.
  • Engineering experience in the mechanical engineering disciplines in a heavy manufacturing environment by employing DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly), GD&T and FEA.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving skills such as 6-Sigma or another structured methodology to solve complex problems.
  • Perform various concept designs, 3D Model, manufacturing drawings creation, technical reports, clearance analysis, hose, pipe, and cable routing.
  • Perform design, calculation, and analysis of the assigned design projects and on time delivery.
  • Lead Design and Detailing of Sheet Metal Parts, Weldments, casting parts and assemblies.
  • Lead ECO/ECN and Generated Bill of Material (BOM) for new/customized design and released the same.
  • Selection of hydraulic/pneumatic cylinders and motors, bearings, including design of hydraulic cylinder, and selection of actuators like limit switch and proxy sensors.
  • Perform root cause diagnosis, statical analysis and system level reliable problem solving and fixed quality/warranty issues.

Domestic (U.S.) travel required up to 10%.

Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and three (3)years of experience in the job offered or in a Product Engineer II, Mechanical-related occupation.

Position requires three (3) years of demonstrable experience in the following;

  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) including shaft and pin tolerance fit, tolerances for sheet metal assembly components, positional tolerance for holes and patterns.
  • Knowledge of ECO (Engineering Change Order), ECN Engineering Change Notice) and Generated Bill of Material (BOM), including sheet metal component change.
  • Knowledge of DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) including large mechanical assemblies, sheet metal components).
  • Knowledge of root cause diagnosis including A3, Fish bone diagrams, and 5 whys.
  • Design and Detailing of Sheet Metal Parts, Weldments, casting parts and assemblies.
  • 3D Model, manufacturing drawings creation, technical reports, and clearance analysis.

Domestic (U.S.) travel required up to 10%.
