Job Overview Lead global organizational, and employee experience communications for Getinge, partnering across global groups and functions to deliver impactful programs and initiatives that inspire employees, strengthen culture, and manage change. You will ensure a clear approach to internal communication that motivates and informs global teams and enables them to deliver business results. This leader plays a critical role in enhancing colleague engagement, fostering a positive company culture, and promoting people-focused programs and initiatives globally. Core activities will include but are not limited to organizational communication, internal event management, enhancing digital communication channels, aligning global messaging to ensure consistency and clarity, transformation and change management, and employer branding. As a member of both the Global Brand and Communications Leadership Team and HR Leadership Team, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape the communication strategy during pivotal growth and transformation efforts, enhancing reputation, driving organizational alignment and sustained employee engagement within Getinge. Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
- Develop, manage, and lead the Getinge employee experience communications strategy,creating and executing programs that aligns with and supports the successful execution of the people strategy, developing communication programs and campaigns that advance culture and drive business results.
- Collaborate with communication leaders at the business area, function and region levels to understand core messages, unique needs and considerations, optimal channels and timing, and target audiences.
- Enable and support large-scale and functional transformations including operating model changes, integrations, HR process and system changes, and new technology adoption.
- Plan meaningful internal events that enhance and strengthen employee's connection to Getinge and dedication to our mission.
- Deploy communications strategies that support both cyclical HR activities and targeted HR programs.
- Drive the development of employee communication programs to support employee engagement and leadership alignment.
- Oversee employee communications advising and content development for organizational announcements, workforce strategies, and crisis communications in partnership with external communications teams
- Design and implement an integrated communication strategy tailored to large-scale transformation initiatives.
- Develop scalable messaging and assets that can be activated across businesses and geographies to help drive successful change implementation.
- Act as a central point for aligning messaging across functions, ensuring consistency and clarity.
- Partner with senior leaders to align on key communication priorities and timing.
- Collaborate with HR teams to develop and execute on communication plans that effectively share periodic/cyclical HR activities (e.g., goal-setting, continuous feedback, year-end, performance and rewards, colleague engagement) as well as bespoke/targeted programs (e.g., learning events). Foster trust and credibility with key stakeholders, including workforce councils and unions.
Team Development and Leadership
- Build and mentor a high-performing employee transformation communications team that collaborates effectively across organizational boundaries.
- Establish and enforce internal communication brand standards, ensuring alignment with overall corporate branding.
- Lead the development and enhancement of digital communication platforms for use specific to transformation and change communications (e.g., intranet, transformation apps).
Metrics and Continuous Improvement
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of employee communication strategies specific to transformation and change using metrics such as employee feedback, intranet engagement, and post-event surveys.
- Drive continuous improvement in communications processes and infrastructure.
- Ensure risk mitigation in communication through preemptive planning and consistent stakeholder alignment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Master's degree in Strategic Communications, Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, or Business Administration (MBA) is strongly preferred.
- A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in employee/internal communications, culture and engagement programs, or change communications, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in leading global employee communication strategies in a corporate environment, preferably in a regulated industry such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or life sciences.
- Proven experience partnering with HR and executive leadership to support cultural transformation, employee engagement, and major organizational changes.
- Experience in managing and mentoring high-performing communications teams across geographies and functions.
- Expertise in building and executing enterprise-wide internal communication strategies that align with business priorities and employee needs. Ability to translate complex strategies into compelling, people-centric messages that inspire and engage a diverse workforce.
- Experience developing communication strategies for large-scale transformations including business integrations, operating model redesign, HR systems implementation, and cultural shifts. Proficiency in crafting scalable, adaptable content that supports global alignment and local relevance.
- Strong executive presence and ability to consult, advise, and influence senior leaders on communication planning and delivery. Skilled in navigating matrixed organizations and fostering alignment across corporate functions, HR, regions, and business units.
- Excellent storytelling, writing, and editing skills, with the ability to create content that resonates across cultures and formats (written, visual, digital). Experience managing and evolving internal communication channels and platforms, including intranets, newsletters, and transformation tools
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess impact through key performance indicators such as engagement metrics, feedback surveys, and platform analytics. Commitment to continuous improvement and leveraging insights to optimize communication effectiveness.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing communications teams. Skilled in fostering collaboration and building a culture of innovation, agility, and accountability within the team.
