Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technician to join our team at the Launch Equipment Test Facility (LETF), located at the iconic Kennedy Space Center. In this role, you'll provide expert mechanical, pneumatic, fluid systems, and testing support to ensure the readiness of critical launch equipment and systems. This is an onsite position that may require occasional overtime, weekends, and potential shift work depending on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply engineering principles to assist in the creation, testing, and modification of mechanical equipment and systems at the LETF.

  • Operate and maintain a variety of fabrication and testing equipment, including hand tools, measurement instruments, and torque wrenches.

  • Read, interpret, and execute tasks based on schematics, engineering drawings, and work instructions.

  • Perform both indoor and outdoor work across the LETF complex, including accessing multiple KSC locations.

  • Navigate uneven terrain (paved, gravel, sand) and work in environments requiring ladder climbing, platform access, and confined space entry.

  • Maintain strict adherence to NASA and company safety standards at all times.

  • Collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve project goals.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • 10+ years of relevant mechanical or technical experience.

  • Demonstrated experience using fabrication and test equipment.

  • Ability to read and understand engineering documents and follow precise technical instructions.

  • Physically able to perform job requirements, including climbing, lifting, and working in varied environments.

  • Proficient teamwork and communication skills.

  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in tube bending and flaring.

  • Competency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint.

  • Operational experience with forklifts (6K-30K), JLG lifts, scissor lifts, jib hoists, and overhead cranes.
