Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Journeyman Logistics Manager for the EPASS Cyber and Networks Directorate (EPASS HN II) contract, supporting the Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division,which is located at Lackland AFB, TX.

LOCATION: Joint Base San Antonio, TX

JOB STATUS: Full Time; salaried

TRAVEL: Approximately 5% travel may be required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field
  • Years of Experience: At least three years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, three of which must be in the DoD. Four additional years of directly related experience with proper certifications may substitute for Bachelor's degree.
  • Current Required Security Clearance: DoD Top Secret clearance

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Capable of identifying critical logistics requirements (e.g., funding, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services) needed to support the assigned effort.
  • Proficient Microsoft office skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
  • Familiarity with defense acquisition management in accordance with the DoD 5000.
  • Familiarity with the Product Support Business Case Analysis
  • Familiarity with the logistics integrated product support model outlined in the DoD Product Support Manager Guidebook.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Capable of leading and completing complex projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Planning, advising, and aligning logistics requirements with applicable policy, procedures, and guidance
  • Ensuring Asset Management and Material Accountability are compliant with applicable policies, procedures, and guidance
  • Supporting supply chain risk management to ensure supply chain assurance processes are compliant with applicable policies, procedures, and guidance
  • Accomplishing a Logistics Health Assessment
  • Supporting or leading development /update of Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP)
  • KMI Certificate preferred, not required. Registration Authority (RA) for the Electronic Key Management System (EKMS), registering worldwide COMSEC accounts and Controlling Authorities.
  • Responsible for integrity with Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) changes in operational policy/doctrine, user recommendations, and to facilitate Air Force-specific requirements.
  • Knowledge of key management principles, concepts, policies, and regulations to include Type 1 secure voice-data device operations, capabilities, and functions for all Type 1 devices currently in use, sufficient to advise on transitioning from a physical key distribution system to an automated system.
  • Knowledge of key management systems at the Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 levels.
  • Knowledge of the operations/policy/procedures for the COMSEC responsible officer, base COMSEC manager, methods of COMSEC key material dissemination and the Tier 1 operator. These include the following: Process received COMSEC material, issue/distribute COMSEC material all over the world.
