As part of the Legal team for Garver, the Legal Assistant will provide essential support for Garver's attorneys and procurement staff in their day-to-day activities which largely include management of Garver's contract review process. We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented individual to support the Legal team's operational efficiency and compliance obligations. This responsibility will include a variety of tasks including but not limited to:


  • Assisting in the preparation, editing, formatting, and proofreading of a variety of legal documents;
  • Monitoring deadlines;
  • Facilitating correspondence between internal clients and Legal staff;
  • Assisting internal clients with legal process requirements;
  • Running document comparisons;
  • Converting document formats;
  • Filing and maintaining legal documents and communications;
  • File organization;
  • Assisting in logging and tracking review requests from internal clients;
  • Evaluating contract documents upon intake to assess what additional information and/or internal processes may be required;
  • Periodically requesting updates from internal clients on contract status;
  • Calendar coordination for Legal staff;
  • Preparing and submitting expense reports for Legal team members;
  • Conducting general research; &
  • Coordinating and monitoring continuing attorney legal education requirements.


In addition, this role will include coordination with other corporate support groups and internal clients across our company footprint, guiding project managers and project administrative support with their Legal inquiries. Minimal travel to annual company events may be required.


Abilities and attributes needed for this position:


  • Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe;
  • Ability to maneuver and maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment;
  • Heightened attention to detail;
  • Keen awareness of grammatical and formatting structures;
  • Commitment to maintaining heightened confidentiality;
  • Ability to effectively multi-task; &
  • Perform well under pressure.


Requirements:


  • High School Diploma
  • Associates degree or paralegal or similar professional certification (preferred)
  • Two+ (2 plus) years of administrative support experience (legal support experience is preferred)
  • Ability to generate above basic spreadsheets, documents, etc.
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams (preferred)
  • Ability to work in-office in our Fayetteville location
