The Sr Visual Designer is a key member of our design team, supporting our marketing group with bar-raising design and creative solutions. They create campaign-oriented promotions, along with brand building and storytelling across a variety of integrated marketing touchpoints. They help define and shape the creative expression of a stellar assortment of industry-leading private label and well-known apparel brands. What Will You Be Doing?
- Effectively translate business objectives and related insights into compelling creative concepts that deliver results.
- Lead large design initiatives, both as an independent contributor and as team player, working in synergy with Creative leadership, Art Directors, Designers, Copywriters, Marketing Managers, Project Managers, and other cross-functional teams.
- Provide exceptional concept ideation, thought leadership and innovative design solutions for a variety of initiatives in the apparel marketplace.
- Design for print and digital mediums, supporting a variety of workstreams including seasonal campaigns, brand campaigns, design systems, website assets, ads, social posts, email comms, catalogs, corporate comms, trade shows, and a variety of other sales and marketing tools.
- Apply masterful grasp of design principles involving hierarchy, composition, typography, iconography, photography, color, illustration, etc.
- Provide oversight and mentorship to both designers and production artists, offering constructive input and insights to improve understanding and elevate quality of creative solutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

What Are We Looking For?
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 7-9 years experience in an agency, design firm, or in-house creative group
- 4-6 years of web, digital, and print design experience, preferably within the apparel industry
- Photo/video shoot experience
- Experience with Workfront, motion graphics, and logo design and illustration
- Advanced proficiency with Mac OS platform and latest versions of Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Proficiency with Figma
- Familiarity and experience with application of brand graphic standards
- Excellent presentation design and presentation skills
- Effective communicator, in both written and verbal engagements
- Familiarity and flexibility with iterative design process
- Familiarity with principles of print production
- Perceptive and creative problem solver who practices critical design thinking throughout the creative process
- Proficient management of high volume, fast-paced work streams with competing timelines
- Offers constructive input and insights to improve understanding and elevate quality of creative solutions
- Strong work ethic and sense of personal accountability; owns responsibilities and is reliable
- Embraces continuous improvement and works to grow skills, refine processes, and enhance overall quality of engagement, and inspires others to do the same
What's Our Offer? Salary Range: You`ll earn between $98,000 - $130,000 annually, depending on experience. Bonus: You`ll be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base salary. Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a bi-weekly basis based on hours worked up to 112 hours per year to start. Employees also receive 8 paid holidays and 1 paid family day off. What Should You Expect? Hybrid: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work environment is moderately quiet. Ability to work on computer for multiple hours with frequent interruptions.
SanMar's Eastpointe office is located near Seattle, WA and our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. Quarterly travel may be required.
