Verification and Validation Engineer
Contingent upon prime contractor approval
Purpose:
- Valkyrie Enterprises has need for a SeniorVerification and Validation Engineerin Huntsville, AL.
- In this role you will support the leadership of MDA Enterprise Analysis, Assessment, & Verification organization with technical and engineering assistance in Model and Simulation (M&S) Verification, Validation, and Accreditation (VV&A).
Job Description:
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR), Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC), and Communication Network models
- Coordinate across MDA program offices, M&S developers, VV&A agents, MDA Systems Engineer, and Operational Test Agency (OTA)
- Work to ensure M&S are suitable for assessment of ground test objectives
- Develop VV&A plans and reports including establishment of Performance Parameters and Acceptability Criteria
- Represent VV&A team in various engineering boards where cross-agency technical and fielding decision occur
Qualifications:
- Must have a Masters in STEM field with 12+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/projects.
- Knowledge of C2BMC, BOA, and OPIR.
- Must have experience working independently and/or leading teams/tasks to analyze and resolve engineering/technical problems.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with other MDA programs and processes, preferred
- Knowledge of MDA Ground Test M&S, VV&A, preferred.
- Work independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasks, applying engineering rigor to solve engineering/scientific problems, preferred.
- Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, preferred.
Security Requirements:
- Must have an Active DoD Secret Security clearance, and the ability to maintain clearance.
Travel Requirements:
- Minimal Travel; 10% or less
- If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
- Able to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
- Communicating with others to exchange information
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds
