Job Summary:

We are seeking an empathetic and detail-oriented Employee Relations & HR Admin Partner to join our People & Culture (P&C) team as the direct report and partner to one of our Business Partner Leads. This critical role, known as an ER Partner, internally, enables a respectful, compliant, and inclusive workplace by proactively supporting our managers throughout the entire employee lifecycle with accurate administrative support related to recruiting, training, and performance management. Equipping our managers to develop high performing teams on behalf of our Mission is a primary goal - and the Talent Management team (inclusive of this role) is tasked with achieving that goal.

A successful ER Partner will take an active posture and demonstrate urgency when responding to general inquiries, addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and ensuring adherence to company policies and employment laws. In addition to completing investigations, our ER Partner plays a key role in promoting employee engagement by identifying workplace trends, supporting a positive employee experience, and partnering with leadership to build a culture of trust, transparency, and accountability.

Primary responsibilities

HR Administration

  • Support preparation and maintenance of HR paperwork (HCM) and employee records as a member of the Talent Management team.

  • Ensure documentation is accurate, current, and compliant with quality standards.

  • When needed, manage calendar of events for assigned functions, ensuring 100% participation.(Ex: Compliance Training, Annual Enrollment, Development Activities)

  • Assist in tracking and submitting policy recommendations to Legal & Risk partners.

  • Ensure People & Culture policies and programs are actionable and utilized consistently - flagging opportunities for improvement with our P&C Leads.

  • Collaborate within the P&C team to attract, select, and onboard new talent.

  • Participate in interviewing, onboarding, and training of talent for assigned functions.

  • Process onboarding and offboarding actions within relevant systems for your function.

  • Work with managers to ensure job descriptions accurately reflect jobs to be done.

  • Provide logistical and administrative support for P&C programs and special projects.

  • Respond to general inquiries via P&C mailbox on HR policies, programs, and procedures.

Employee Relations/Investigations & Compliance

  • Manage employee relations investigations involving allegations of misconduct, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other workplace concerns.

  • Complete primary intake on investigations into misconduct, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other concerns.

  • Conduct confidential interviews with employees, managers, and witnesses; gather and analyze relevant documentation and evidence.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed case records in line with legal and company standards.

  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and HR Business Partners to ensure alignment with policies and regulations.

  • Provide recommendations for resolution and corrective actions based on findings, ensuring consistency and fairness.

  • Ensure involvement of function leaders in resolutions, seeking to prevent future issues.

  • Track and analyze investigation trends to identify systemic issues.

  • Manage ADA accommodations and oversee employee relations matters.

  • Partner with HR and leadership to enhance employee engagement by identifying root causes of workplace issues and recommending strategies to improve morale, communication, and trust.

  • Support the delivery of training programs related to workplace conduct, conflict resolution, performance management, and policy awareness.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on workplace behavior, performance management, and conflict resolution.

  • Lead by example, contributing to a positive employee experience by promoting a culture of respect, inclusion, and accountability.

  • Ensure organizational compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Human Resources, Legal, or Business Administration

  • Proven experience in employee relations, HR compliance, or workplace investigations.

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws (e.g., Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, etc.).

  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong communication skills honed through experience in various formats - verbal, written, remote, in person, 1;1, groups of all sizes, formal and informal, et cetera

  • Excellent EQ interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner effectively with people from all backgrounds and at various career stages and with a range of skills, education, and capabilities

  • Strong collaboration skills demonstrated within remote and hybrid teams

  • Microsoft office suite: Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams

You'll standout if you have:

  • Certification in HR or investigations (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP, AWI-CH)

  • Strong working knowledge and experience leveraging Workday HCM

  • Initiative to improve business processes and to leverage automation and AI

  • Experience gained within both for Profit and Non-Profit sectors

Location Requirements

  • Remote - Flexible Location

  • Work is primarily performed remotely, however, when possible and necessary, teams meet in person to conduct the business of the organization and build team relationships.

Compensation | Benefits:

The estimated hiring compensation range for this role is $59,000-$68,000. Final offers will be based on the candidate'sgeographic location, consider career experience and may vary from this range due to these and other factors.
