The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. The Vice President of Supportive Housing is responsible for furthering the mission of CCH by providing executive leadership, vision and guidance of multi-disciplinary teams providing supportive housing and services to homeless and at-risk families and individuals throughout CCH. The position will work with the Integrated Health and Supportive Housing Executive Team to provide oversight of current departments, develop new initiatives, improve clinical and program outcomes, and strengthen program integration and infrastructure across CCH. The position will ensure that all CCH housing programs provide consistent, quality and integrated housing and services, and will guide the development and expansion of existing supportive housing services throughout CCH. The position will also ensure integration with and access to health care, community services, and other resources provided by CCH.

Essential Job Functions
    • Works collaboratively with Integrated Health and Supportive Housing Executive Team to lead, develop, manage, and supervise integrated housing services provided by all areas under their direction in accordance with the applicable policies and procedures established by the Board of Directors, program funders and management staff.
    • Hires, trains and supervises the Directors of Housing Support Services, the Director of Family Support Services and the Grants and Data Reporting Manager.
    • Serves as an active member of the Integrated Health, Supportive Housing and Services Executive Team to promote and ensure integration with and access to health care, supportive housing, and community services provided by CCH.
    • Works closely with the Vice President of Property Management and the Vice President of Housing Assistance to streamline the housing placement and housing retention processes, identify unmet needs, and enhances communication and collaboration between programs, housing assistance and property management staff.
    • Oversees the development of robust integrated health services and client programming at all CCH Housing locations to include identification of service gaps, creation and implementation of shared integrated care plans, culturally relevant and inclusive community groups and activities, level of care programming and other promising and evidenced-based practices in the provision of supportive housing.
    • Serves a clinical consultant on complex client care and housing related concerns, offering support and guidance to staff to achieve positive outcomes.
    • Works closely with the Director of Evaluation and Program Directors to ensure high quality outcomes and standards of care for each program through routine evaluation techniques and activities. Implements quality improvement activities as necessary, providing oversight and follow-up and develops policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state and local grant requirements.
    • Works closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Program Directors in budget development. Works closely with Program Directors and Grants Analysts to monitor and adjust grant budgets as needed to maximize program impact, effectively spend down available funding, and avoid budget deficits. Works with Program Directors to ensure expenditures are in accordance with approved budgets.
    • Participates in strategic planning and development of trauma informed, inclusive and equitable supportive housing services throughout CCH.
    • Oversees supervision provided by Program Directors, fostering a mission-driven culture, providing staff development assistance, and working with human resources to swiftly resolve employee relations challenges. Reviews and approves decision-making within programs.
    • Responds to and investigates program related client complaints, through the lens of our mission and philosophy of service, ensuring appropriate follow up and corrective actions are documented and completed in a timely fashion.
    • Provides direction and oversight in program development and participates in the preparation of grant proposals to ensure financial support for the effective operation and sustainability of the programs.
    • Ensures the successful implementation of grants received and compliance with all reporting requirements associated with grant awards/contracts. Ensures that required reports to funding agencies are prepared and submitted. Monitors compliance with subcontract agencies or with those agencies with which MOUs exist.
    • Establishes, strengthens and maintains relationships with outside agencies, stakeholders and community organizations to promote collaboration and enhance the service delivery system.
    • Serves on various ad hoc committees within CCH as well as external boards and committees to represent and provide leadership regarding issues of homelessness and supportive housing.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Summary
    • Knowledge of homeless issues and demonstrated sensitivity to and a desire to work with underserved populations.
    • Knowledge of local, state, and federal requirements regarding confidentiality, professional relationships, record keeping, and other relevant matters.
    • Knowledge of non-profit organizational management practices.
    • Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
    • Must have a valid Colorado Driver's License and meet CCH automobile insurance eligibility.
    • Education and Work Experience
    • Master's degree or higher in Social Work or another Health related field preferred..
    • Licensed Clinical Social worker, preferred.
    • Demonstrated experience developing, managing and supervising multiple housing, health and/or human services programs. simultaneously for a minimum of five years.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to housing first, harm reduction, and trauma informed care principles.
    • Demonstrated experience supervising a multi-disciplinary management team for a minimum of five years.
$126,774 - $158,468 a year
