Job Description

Have you ever walked down an aisle in your local Beauty retailerand wondered why your favorite skincare product moved or why the signage changed? At NielsenIQ, we work with U.S. retailers and manufacturers to help them understand their consumers, and to optimize their business down every aisle. Every day brings a new challenge working in an extremely fast-paced, ever-evolving, competitive retail landscape.

On the NielsenIQ Retail Team you will work with key retail clients to maximize the value that NIQ data can have on their business. This is done by assisting your current and future clients with navigating through complex business challenges with insightful and actionable NIQ recommendations with confidence. This Analyst position will work to develop compelling data stories that highlight NIQ's best-in-class Beauty channel measurement. A passion and familiarity for the Beauty industry is a must for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop mastery of propriety NielsenIQ tools and metrics, which you will use to help solve your client's most pressing business questions
  • Use analytical skills and logic to take complex data and simplify into a client ready story
  • Create meaningful insights that will empower the Beauty sales team to bring on new retailer clients
  • Become an expert on Beauty and Wellness categories
  • Be the voice of the consumer by keeping our clients at the forefront of industry trends

Growth Opportunities

  • Drive outcomes for clients and foster relationships with Beauty retailers, a prioritized channel for NIQ
  • Build internal stakeholder relationships
  • Become an expert in the unique ways of working for Retailers
  • Develop cross-functional management skills
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of Consumer Packaged Goods or Retail industry experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proven problem-solving skills using deductive reasoning and identifying gaps in logic
  • Unafraid to bring forth innovative data stories and topics that resonate with Beauty retailers
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with emphasis on high-impact visualizations
  • Must be a good listener
  • Needs to have an open mindset, be coachable, be curious, and be willing to learn
  • Ability to multi-task successfully and independently manage multiple projects with varying timelines
  • Experience with syndicated data sets a plus
  • Ability to work across a wide variety of data platforms
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Experience with NielsenIQ or like data preferred
Additional Information

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range: $55,500-$70,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a sales-based incentive or performance-based bonus.
