Your Opportunity

This full-time role is about making an impact on people's lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Manufacturing Technician in Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the Fuel Business Unit. Framatome makes fuel for Nuclear Power generation plants. Our specific tasks are to convert uranium feed stock to uranium dioxide powder which will be further processed to make this fuel. We also segregate, process, and dispose any hazardous and radioactive wastes that are generated on site according to governing regulations. Your work tasks will include:



  • Learning to operate various equipment to convert, dissolve, purify, and process uranium materials in a safe and proficient manner.
  • Using the processed uranium product in downstream processes to create fuel to produce carbon free electricity in nuclear power plants.
  • Learning how to read different instruments to help you in your processing duties.
  • Gaining experience using computer software and hardware with several data bases to electronically transfer and track materials and products.
  • Developing process and equipment troubleshooting skills. You will learn how to handle uranium safely.

Framatome's Richland, WA facility is a licensed nuclear fuel manufacturing site and complies with US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and US Department of Energy (DOE) regulations. This position is safety-sensitive and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening is required. Any employment offer is contingent upon the successful completion of a background investigation.



Your Total Rewards Package

The starting pay rate for this position is $27.50 per hour. After a successfully completed introductory period the pay increases to $29.50 per hour and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
