Overview

Assists the Account Managers in the achievement of whole blood and apheresis collection goals.



Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

    Telemarketing to past donors for drives identified by the Director, Donor Recruitment/designee.
  • Support Fixed Site Managers and Assistant Director, Donor Services for Fixed Sites. By: assisting with mailings and marketing efforts for Apheresis collections. Encouraging on-site conversion of whole blood donors to apheresis through education, promotion and enthusiasm. Scheduling and rebooking apheresis donors.
  • Perform on-site whole blood recruitment. By: Assisting at college campuses and other blood drives identified by the Director, Donor Recruitment/designee where "Park and Pray" will increase donor turnout in addition to traditional Account Manager recruitment. Upon request, be able to prepare and present specific presentations to targeted donor groups in an effort to bring in more donations for upcoming drives.
  • Assure regulatory compliance. By: Following all pertinent SOPs and policies. Participate in the process to modify SOPS and policies in on-going continuing educational programs.
  • Support Apheresis program. By: Performing administrative assistance with marketing programs, mailings lifting and packing promotional supplies. Assist at apheresis and all other recognition events as needed. Packing monthly marketing promo items for fixed sites. CP mailing; large donor mailings/month, Donor Gift Fulfillment.
  • Support Outreach. By: Performing data entry on busy or high profile blood drives Monday through Sunday. Donor flow support at drives any day of the week as assigned.
  • Administrative support functions. By: Preparing, printing, completing and verifying information on reports as assigned. Participating in other administrative tasks as assigned or requested.
  • Any staff member can be requested to perform additional related duties as required and unrelated duties as requested during emergencies.

General Duties:

  • Assists and supports team memers.
  • Communicates with supervisors and other CBC staff.


Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Two to three (2-3) years' experience in sales and marketing or customer service

Skills:

  • Sales and marketing skills
  • Must be self-motivated and a self-starter with good organization skills.
  • Must have outstanding customer service skills (both written and verbal) and relationship development skills.
  • Must have experience in networking.
  • Flexible, with the ability to deal with change and unpredictability.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.
  • Proficient personal computer skills.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow written as well as verbal instructions.
  • Must have valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
  • Must be reliable.

Knowledge:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
